INVESTIGATING SERENDIPITY
The fourth day arrived with excitement itself in the air ,for the practical execution of Professor Anil Gupta’s assigned task of collecting the weed of one’s choice making extract out of it and then to study it’s physiological effect on the plant of interest which had been previously tagged for the study. Students were very excited indeed to prepare the extracts of their collected samples using the method of their choice, some choose boiling, and others preferred cold extraction and some even went out for soaking with varying duration. The extraction was proceeded by spraying them up on the plants .The field visit was guided by our mentors Dr. Shahila and Dr.Reddy who had a keen watch on the spraying strategy picked up by the individuals.
The evening arrived with the session guided by Dr. Anil Gupta were he interacted with the students and demanded an explanation for the choice they had made to make up the extracts. He then further explained that one should opt for anti-conventionalism and aim for sustainable outcomes. The conviction and courage to challenge should be inbuilt in one’s reflex to develop inquisitiveness. Professor made the session even more interacting by making us note the mistakes we made during the experimentation and handling. He even stated “ everything around happens for a reason ,make a habit of writing down, maintain a record of whatever you do so as to reproduce the same results”.
It was a surprise to all of us as we got to know about that eminent personalities like Dr.Sanjay Gill, Dr Rama Shankar Yadav and Dr Kiran Kaliya who came to address us .The session really went on well where the professors explained the hardships of life with examples from their life experiences. They all had a point common towards the motivation of life, the courage one should carry in every phase of life no matter if nothing feels right. Professors created a zeal in individuals to worship work and that karma and time gives the best reward.
